AHCAP Conference Scholarship Program
The AHCAP Board of Directors is pleased to announce three (3) conference scholarships up to $1600 each available for eligible AHCAP members in 2008.
The intent of the AHCAP Scholarship Program is to give members an opportunity to attend the AHCAP annual conference by defraying most conference expenses for those who would otherwise not be able to attend.
The Scholarship
The AHCAP Scholarship Program is funded solely through proceeds from the Annual AHCAP Scholarship Fundraising Raffle. The total amount of money available for scholarships is determined annually by the Board of Directors and based on proceeds earned from the previous year’s Fundraising efforts. The number awarded and scholarship amounts will be evaluated annually by the Scholarship Committee.
The 2008 Awards
One (1) Leadership Award* and Two (2) Scholarship Awards will be given out in 2008. All applicants must meet the Eligibility Criteria listed below in order to qualify. All awards will be dispersed through AHA Executive Offices and will not exceed $1600 in allowable conference expenses. In the event that no eligible member applies for the Leadership Award, an additional general Scholarship will be awarded. Award winners will be charged the early bird registration rate for the annual conference and any pre-conference sessions offered.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an AHCAP member in good standing.
- Must not have attended an Annual Conference in two or more years.
- A member may receive only one scholarship (inclusive of all categories) in their lifetime.
- Current Board of Directors members are not eligible to participate.
- *Leadership Award: This award is available only to prior or current committee members and Board of Directors President and members in recognition of their service to AHCAP.

2008 cHAP Certification Scholarship Program
The AHCAP Board of Directors is pleased to announce that two (2) $225 scholarships will be awarded to an AHCAP member interested in becoming a Certified Healthcare Administrative Professional (cHAP).
The intent of the cHAP Scholarship Program is to defray most costs of certification (application/exam) to members whose organizations do not cover expenses of this nature.
The Scholarship
This scholarship program is funded solely through proceeds from the Annual AHCAP Scholarship Fundraising Raffle. The number awarded and scholarship amount will be evaluated annually by the Scholarship Committee.
The 2008 Award
Two (2) cHAP Scholarship Awards up to $225 will be awarded in 2008. All applicants must meet the Eligibility Criteria listed below in order to qualify. The award will be managed though AHA Executive Offices and not disbursed to the award recipient directly.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an AHCAP member in good standing.
- A member may receive only one award, of any type, each year (including conference lotto awards).

AHCAP Award of Distinction - Call for Nominations
AHCAP values the contributions made by its members and would like to recognize those individuals whose accomplishments promote the advancement of professionalism in healthcare administrative support.
